In the summer of 2014, I stumbled on the vampire diaries book set, released by Disney, and was immediately captivated by every single one of them. I devoured every single book in the series, and my favorite character was the one that never spoke.

In the sequel, The Vampire Diaries Book: The Bloodlines, the protagonist is a younger version of the main character, which leads me to believe that the whole story is about them being the product of “time-loops.

Well, yes and no. It seems that the original series is actually about two different timelines. The first timeline is when the main character was a teenager, but things had gone downhill for him and he began to have dreams of a vampire hunter who was going to take him down, while the second timeline is when he was a teenager and he didn’t have the dreams, so he was more or less content with his life.

As it turns out, the second main character of the first series is actually a vampire hunter. The main character of the second series is a teenager who became obsessed with a vampire hunter who was a former friend of his and who had been a mentor to him while he was a teen. The first main character is the younger of the two main characters and the one who had the dream.
