This is a book I have been wanting to read but haven’t because it is so easy to read.
The book is a collection of short stories from a variety of authors. Each story is about a different character living in the middle East and the different countries they have traveled through. It’s not just a bunch of random stories about people who do what they want to do.
In this category I would include “Crown, Queen, and Jackal” by David Morrell. It is a story where two kids, a boy named Max and a girl named Jenny, have a huge argument about why they should become kings and queens. The story was written by one of my favorite authors, David Morrell.
The short stories in the “Ghetto Cowboys” category are also great. Like the rest of the series, the authors do a fantastic job at capturing the reality of living in Middle Eastern countries.
This is an interesting category because, while it is all fictional, the characters are based on actual people in real life. The series is about a group of young adults that are living in Cairo, Egypt, and they all have their own ideas about life and what they want to do with their time. The characters make for an interesting read.
The series includes some very memorable characters (like the cowboy-in-Egypt) and I found the story to be easily relatable. There’s a huge variety of styles of writing I found it to be a great read. I especially enjoyed the writing style of the author, who uses a very simple, yet effective style of writing to tell a very complex story. The characters, the world, and the characters’ motivations are very relatable to me.
