For centuries, it has been said that the only way to prevent the existence of evil is to eradicate the idea of evil. The scientific community has gone along with the idea that everything that exists has a cause, and we should all try to eradicate our own ideas of causes in order to protect ourselves and our planet.
It turns out that the idea of evil is an idea that has been around forever and has led to great atrocities. In 1776, English writer Samuel Butler published a book called The Evil Spirit, describing how a demon named Satan could be used to do good deeds to save the lives of those who truly needed saving.
After a few failed attempts at eliminating evil (by burning down hospitals, building prisons, and taking over the world) he managed to get the idea of a good evil spirit out of the closet. Now that we know there are good and evil, we may be able to eliminate one of those by creating a creature that will act as a good evil spirit.
In the past we have all had to deal with a “demon of our own creation,” one that was created by our own evil side. Today we see the internet and smart phones as a new way for that evil entity to enter our lives. A good evil spirit is the answer to our prayers.
The evil entity, also called a ghost, was created by our own evil side, but now we’ve got another one to deal with and a new way to deal with it. The ghost is a creature that can kill in the blink of an eye. It’s a creature that can attack without actually harming people. It could give anyone an excuse to shoot someone or take someone’s life. Now we can kill it with our smart phones and our computers.
